InstaENG online platform “set to transform security engineering market”
25 January 2021
SHAREHOLDERS AT one of the UK’s specialist guarding companies are now disrupting the technical services element of the security sector with the launch of an innovative digital platform which is set to “transform the industry”.
InstaENG is an online technical services purchasing platform devised by David Stubbs (managing director) and Guy Dungworth (director) of security company SSGC and has already secured business covering more than 1,500 properties located right across the UK.
Swindon-based Security Industry Approved Contractor Scheme-registered SSGC witnessed its turnover soar throughout 2020 after working with Government-appointed agency Serco to rapidly recruit and deploy more than 4,000 staff to deliver security regimes at COVID-19 Test Centres. That rise in turnover has assisted the development of the new InstaENG website, which essentially matches security engineers directly with purchasers.
The platform acts as a trusted source for customers to post available jobs (ie security engineers for CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and fire system installations) which businesses or sole traders can then bid for, democratising the process and making it leaner, more efficient and fully transparent.
Business secured to date by InstaENG is worth £2 million and emanates from blue chip clients. The website offers a cost-effective solution for customers, while at the same time ensuring that engineers receive a higher proportion of income earned than they would do as a sub-contractor.
Eliminating the margin
Having developed the all-new proposition throughout 2020, joint founder David Stubbs believes that InstaENG will genuinely transform the landscape of the security engineering industry. “InstaENG is a truly unique offer which eliminates the margin from the dominant security providers,” observed Stubbs.
“It allows businesses to deal directly with local engineers using an embedded specification routine that ensures a transparent and safe transaction.”
Stubbs added: “Following on from our success with SSGC, we’ve used our expert knowledge of the security sector to launch InstaENG, along with the cutting-edge technology we’ve pioneered within the industry.”
Guy Dungworth, co-founder of InstaENG, commented: “The website allows a business to directly request a specific skillset for which appropriate suppliers then pitch. It ensures both ends of the supply chain receive the best deal possible and, crucially, is an incredibly efficient process, with the capability to fulfil requests in a matter of hours.”
Direct connections
Engineers who sign up to InstaENG enjoy the opportunity of connecting directly with large-scale national blue chip organisations and benefit from increased revenue as the cost of the supply chain is eliminated.
Stubbs concluded: “We encourage an open marketplace delivering choice to our customers. Engineers can also add certification to their profile, in turn indicating a high level of competence.”
