Winsted’s console partition assists CCTV operations with infection control
18 May 2020
CCTV CONTROL Room solutions designer Winsted has just unveiled new protective operator partitions. The partitions have been developed to realise a higher degree of safety for Control Room operators who are working through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Social distancing of two metres can be difficult to maintain in a Control Room environment,” explained Terry Shough, general manager at Winsted for Europe and the Middle East. “The new operator partitions help create a safer setting, protecting people from airborne threats presented by COVID-19, influenza and even the common cold.”
The protective operator partition is an effective and easy-to-install solution that creates a physical barrier between operators in Control Rooms and Security Operations Centres. The partitions define the personal workspace and reinforce social distancing.
Bromsgrove-based Winsted is also very keen to point out that these partitions are a high-quality original equipment solution that can be easily retrofitted and repositioned if needed.
The protective operator partitions feature extended height and depth for extra protection, easy-to-clean acrylic surfaces, temporary or permanent installation options, clear or frosted surfaces, smooth bull-nosed edges and radius corners.
