10 March 2020

The Government is to make two keynote addresses providing updates to fire safety regulations as part of The Fire Safety Event, which takes place at NEC Birmingham on 28-30 April 2020.

Senior officials from the Home Office and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) will provide updates on next steps following the consultation on the Fire Safety Order and the Independent Review of the Building Regulations and Fire Safety.  On 29 April at 12:30, Head of the Home Office Fire Safety Unit, Rod McLean, will provide an update on the Fire Safety Order and this will be met by a response from leading fire safety lawyer Kathryn Turner.
