Cladding ban to be announced
01 October 2018
ALL NEW schools, hospitals, care home, and residential buildings above 18m in England are set to be banned from using combustible cladding.

The announcement is due to be made by housing secretary James Brokenshire at the the Conservative Party conference.
Mr Brokenshire is expected to say he wants to bring about a "change in culture on building safety".
The ban includes all combustible materials, such as cladding, on new buildings.
However, it will not be applied retrospectively where materials have already been fitted.
