Margherita Mullis appointed product manager at Promat
04 July 2025
PROMAT – THE specialist in passive fire protection solutions – has appointed a new product manager to support the company’s growth. Assuming a key role in ensuring the requirements for passive fire protection in the construction industry are met, Margherita Mullis will combine product expertise with technical insight to help launch new products.

Joining from sister company Siniat – a drywalling manufacturer that’s also part of The Etex Group – Mullis brings a strong technical background combined with specialist product knowledge to the role.
Qualified to IFE Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection, Mullis has worked in The Etex Group for five years, including within the technical and R&D teams.
As product manager at Promat, Mullis is set to work closely with key members of the commercial and specification teams to support the company’s growth by ensuring products meet the demands of the supply chain and that correct testing and performance standards are in place.
The role will help to support specification requirements for passive fire protection across a wide range of applications.
Highest standards
Speaking about her new role, Mullis commented: “I’m delighted to be working with the Promat team, which is led with a genuine passion for achieving the very highest standards in safety.”
Mullis continued: “Passive fire protection is such an important part of the built environment and this is an incredibly important time for the industry as it demonstrates its commitment to standards in both testing and competency, but also in meeting the requirements of new legislation.”
Further, Mullis observed: “The need for testing and data is very much starting to drive product demand in the sector as both are essential for demonstrating compliance. I look forward to working with the wider team to support architects, contractors and developers in the accurate specification of passive fire protection and ensuring they can access the products and data they need.”
