ASFP kick-starts 2024 with move to new Coventry headquarters
08 January 2024
THE ASSOCIATION for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has begun the New Year by relocating to a head office in Coventry. The new building affords the ASFP greater capacity, in turn enabling the organisation to offer even more support and services for its member base.
Set to be opened in two phases, the new premises provide office space play host to the ASFP’s Training Academy. It offers a practical training facility, catering facilities, meeting and break-out/rest areas and also provides a permanent home for management of the popular ASFPTV social media channel.
The current phase sees the ASFP team move into the first floor office space, while Phase 2 will see the opening of the ASFP’s Training Academy on the ground floor. This area provides extensive training facilities, as well as housing the Association’s Boardroom and meeting rooms.
Importantly, all of these spaces will be made available for use by ASFP members and non-members at preferential rental rates.
Modern facilities
On moving into the building, ASFP managing director Mike Ward declared: “Having spent several months acquiring and developing our new building to provide modern facilities which will meet the growing needs of the Association and its members, we’re tremendously excited to finally move into our own office facilities for what is the first time in our organisation’s history.”
Ward continued: “We are hugely grateful to the British Coatings Federation for hosting us in their offices and providing administrative services across the last three years. However, we feel that the Association is now coming of age and, to reflect this, we’re delighted to finally occupy premises of our own.”
Opening event
Details of the official opening event will be distributed in the very near future. On that note, Ward concluded: “We look forward to welcoming members and other stakeholders to our new office facilities and the Training Academy across the coming months.”
*The ASFP’s contact details are now as follows: Association for Specialist Fire Protection, Unit A, West Oak House, Westwood Business Park, Westwood Way, Coventry CV4 8HS. Telephone (02476 935412) and e-mail (info@asfp.org.uk) details remain the same.
