Strategic appointments at FireQual serve to strengthen Board

FIREQUAL, THE provider of regulated qualifications for the fire safety sector, has announced the addition of two highly respected professionals – namely Dave White and Colin Todd MBE – to its Board. The duo’s collective expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of fire safety training and qualifications.

Dave White FIFSM (Life) CMIOSH MIFireE MIIRSM LCGI joins the FireQual Board with immediate effect, bringing over 50 years of fire safety experience, including a distinguished 30-year career in the Fire and Rescue Services.
As chair and former president of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, White has played a key role in the development of both national and international fire safety standards.
White commented: “I trust that I can support FireQual’s growth and help to provide the industry with robust and regulated qualifications that best represent the skills and knowledge required to work in the sector today.”
Decades of service
Colin Todd MBE, managing director of celebrated consultancy C. S. Todd & Associates, also joins the FireQual Board. Todd is a widely respected figure with five decades of dedicated service to the fire safety industry.
Recognised through national honours for his contributions, Todd has had a lasting impact through his involvement with the British Standards Institution, the Fire Industry Association and various Government Technical Committees. His consultancy, training and standards development work have helped to shape the landscape of fire safety in the UK.
“The importance of training new and existing members of the fire safety profession cannot be overstated.” said Todd. “First-class training has always been a great passion of mine. I now look forward to the challenges of promoting FireQual’s essential role in raising standards within the profession.”
