THE FIRE Safety (England) Regulations 2022 will make it a legal requirement for ‘Responsible Persons’ in charge of all multi-occupied residential buildings (with storeys over 11 metres in height) to undertake annual inspections (on a ‘best endeavour’ basis) of all flat entrance doors leading to a building’s common areas. AS OF Monday 23 January 2023, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations will come into force.
