BM TRADA Q-Mark certification renewal for Ceasefire composite fire doors
11 August 2025
GLOBAL HSE Group is continuing its commitment to fire safety with the successful renewal of the BM TRADA Q-Mark certification for its Ceasefire composite fire doors. This certification affirms the fire doors’ compliance with stringent fire and smoke resistance standards, in turn ensuring the safety and protection of building occupants.

Fire doors play a critical role in the fire safety domain, of course, by slowing the spread of fire and smoke, thereby providing valuable time for building occupants to evacuate and more time for Emergency Services crews to respond.
In the latest BM TRADA burn test, the Ceasefire door – itself rated as an FD30 (ie 30-minute) fire door – exceeded expectations by maintaining its integrity for an impressive 39 minutes and 40 seconds. Such a solid performance can be vital in real-world fire incidents.
Independent reassurance
Jonathan Harwood, director of commercial and operations at the Global HSE Group, informed Fire Safety Matters: “Securing and maintaining BM TRADA Q-Mark certification is incredibly important to us. It gives our customers independent reassurance that our products are consistently manufactured to the highest quality. The recent burn test, where the doors held firm for an additional 32% beyond the mandated 30 minutes, truly highlights this dedication.”
Maintaining BM TRADA Q-Mark certification requires ongoing commitment to quality and performance. The Global HSE Group also recently passed a rigorous BM TRADA audit at its manufacturing facility in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. This audit ensures every fire door produced meets strict manufacturing and quality control standards, promoting full traceability throughout the production process.
With over 70 burn tests conducted to date, these tests evaluate the doors’ ability to withstand fire and smoke for extended periods, ensuring that they meet or otherwise exceed the requirements of an FD30. This extensive testing demonstrates Global HSE Group’s commitment to providing fire doors that offer superior protection and peace of mind.
PAS 24
Additionally, the Ceasefire doors have been certified to the PAS 24 security standard, reinforcing their resistance to forced entry techniques and providing enhanced protection against unauthorised access. This dual certification for both fire safety and security offers a comprehensive solution for a wide range of applications.
