Ambitious growth plans marked by key appointments at Global HSE Solutions
29 January 2024
GLOBAL HSE Solutions – the dedicated fire safety company wholly committed to enhancing building safety and protection – has announced the appointment and promotion of three accomplished professionals to key directorial roles. These strategic moves reflect the company’s commitment to its ambitious growth plans and “unwavering dedication” to advancing fire safety solutions on a national scale.

As the organisation continues to expand its footprint and establish its trusted and highly qualified status in the fire safety industry, these senior appointments are viewed as pivotal to ensuring the company’s sustained growth and success.
Jonathan Harwood is appointed director of commercial and operations for Global HSE Solutions. Harwood has served the business for over four years now, heading up the Global HSE Group’s passive fire division. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for overseeing and optimising Global HSE Solutions’ commercial operations, while in tandem helping to drive the passive side of the business forward.
Boasting a wealth of experience in the passive fire protection arena, Harwood brings a unique skill set and a proven track record of driving operational excellence to the new role.
Ross O’Loughlin is promoted to the role of director and remains head of Global Technical Services (GTS). Elevating O’Loughlin to this critical role underscores Global’s commitment to innovation and cutting-edge solutions.
O’Loughlin will continue to lead GTS, but at the same time take on a more strategic role in pioneering new technologies and advancing the company’s product offerings in order to meet the ever-evolving demands of the fire safety landscape and fast-paced developments in legislation.
Financial management
Ian Jordan is appointed financial director for the HSE Global Group. Recognising the pivotal role of effective financial management, Jordan assumes leadership of Global’s financial and HR division. It’s envisaged that he will play a key role in shaping and amplifying the company’s commercial objectives as it continues to make strides forward in the fire safety space.
These appointments not only bring a wealth of expertise and leadership to the Global HSE Group, but also reinforce the commitment to delivering cutting-edge fire safety solutions on the worldwide stage.
Andrew Cooper, managing director of Global HSE Solutions Ltd, stated: “I’m delighted to have such a formidable leadership team on board as we move forwards. I believe their combined expertise will be instrumental in propelling Global to new heights as we embark on this exciting phase of expansion and innovation.”
Cooper continued: “I’m looking forward to us all working collaboratively in order to realise the company’s overall objective of establishing Global as the obvious fire safety partner of choice for any organisation wishing to take the discipline seriously and work in partnership with us to ensure their buildings are safe and compliant for all who use them.”
In conclusion, Cooper observed: “The whole team at Global is excited about the future as we remain dedicated to making all buildings with which we interact safer through the delivery of innovative and compliant fire safety solutions.”
