ASFP outlines comprehensive plans for The Fire Safety Event
27 July 2021
THE ASSOCIATION for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) will be exhibiting at The Fire Safety Event. This is the organisation’s first appearance at an industry gathering this year due to the restrictions that have necessarily been imposed by the Government as a result of COVID-19.

The ASFP is the UK’s leading Trade Association for the passive fire protection sector. The organisation was formed in 1975 in recognition of a need to bring together passive fire protection manufacturers, contractors and testing/certification bodies to encourage, develop and give guidance on essential standards in passive fire protection. A key task is to support the activities of the fire industry in relation to all forms of ‘built-in’ fire protection.
On a day-to-day basis, the ASFP serves and represents the needs of its members – and, indeed, the wider passive fire protection industry – by actively raising standards and competence through training, testing and certification processes.
At the NEC, Niall Rowan (technical and regulatory affairs officer) will be offering his thoughts as part of the seminar programme in The Fire Safety Theatre and The Tall Buildings Theatre.
In addition, representatives from the ASFP will be on the stand throughout the show to offer Best Practice advice on all matters relating to passive fire protection.
