FIA signposts FIM Expo 2022 and inaugural FIA Conference
15 February 2022
THE FIRE Industry Association (FIA) has announced that the 2022 edition of its ever-popular Fire Industry Manufacturers’ (FIM) Expo will run in parallel with an all-new FIA Conference. Both events are to be held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. FIM Expo 2022 runs on Tuesday 13 September, with the FIA Conference taking place on the following day.

As always, FIM Expo will feature many of the UK’s leading fire detection and alarm system manufacturers and showcase all of the latest products and developments in the sector. What makes FIM Expo a different and unique proposition is the informal format, its regional focus and the opportunity for attendees to view all of the very latest systems devised and launched by major fire safety solution manufacturers in one place.
FIM Expo represents an excellent opportunity for visitors to meet and network with representatives of those manufacturers. Attendees will be able to take on board valuable information concerning industry-leading products and even place orders on the day of the event. FIM Expo is an excellent environment in which to build business relationships for 2022 and beyond.
Free CPD seminars
As standard for this annual event, FIM Expo offers delegates free Continuing Professional Development (CPD)-accredited seminars. Content is centred on maintaining and enhancing the knowledge and skills industry practitioners require in order to deliver a professional service for their customers, clients and, indeed, the wider community. The seminars are going to be delivered by members of the FIA’s technical team and concentrate on various key topics. The underpinning detail will be announced in due course.
Great conversations are so important in the business sphere. FIM Expo is an ideal platform upon which fire safety solution providers can boost sales and meet current as well as prospective customers. In-depth conversations can be conducted with a diverse range of stakeholders in the fire industry, notably so those from installation and maintenance businesses and end user customers.
On the basis that the FIA is continually seeking to improve its offer for the fire industry, this year the organisation will be hosting a free drinks reception at the culmination of FIM Expo, affording attendees the opportunity to carry on their conversations from the exhibition and network with exhibitors, fellow attendees, members of the FIA’s Board and employees of the Trade Association.
FIA Conference
Planning for the inaugural FIA Conference has already begun. The day will contain a host of CPD seminars delivered by FIA members as well as panel discussions on core topics for the industry with a particularly keen focus on both current and future fire safety technologies.
During the day, of course, there will be further opportunities for networking with key industry stakeholders from across the fire industry, among them system installers, designers, maintainers, commissioners, local Government representatives, the employees of standards bodies, Fire and Rescue Service professionals and also representatives of colleges and universities.
