Skills for Security heralds Class of 2020 and Apprentice of the Year Award winner

SKILLS FOR Security, Britain’s largest electronic fire and security systems training provider, has awarded Matthew Aindow its Apprentice of the Year Award in the wake of him scoring 93% in his end point assessment.
Skills for Security has celebrated almost 30 apprentices completing its Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Apprenticeship over the course of the last year. Aindow completed his apprenticeship with EFT Systems, one of the leading fire and security system installers in the UK. EFT Systems recruits 28 apprentices throughout the business, with most of them enrolling on the fire and security apprenticeship programme with Skills for Security.
David Scott, managing director at Skills for Security, commented: “Matthew has shown a tremendous work ethic while completing his apprenticeship this year. His energy and enthusiasm should see him go far in the fire and security industry. Matthew has a real passion for the sector and his career, and I look forward to watching his journey closely as he now becomes a fully-qualified fire and security engineer. The team at Skills for Security want to wish them the very best in his career.”
Scott added: “Congratulations are also in order for our 27 apprentices who are part of the Class of 2020 and have also completed their apprenticeships this year. This is by far the largest number in the UK. The forecast for 2021 is a significant rise in apprenticeships taking place. We hope this brings us nearer to closing the ever-growing skills gap in our sector.”
