Firetherm’s move to Nullifire brand brings enhanced benefits in smart passive fire protection

05 October 2020

SPECIFIERS CHOOSING Firetherm (the passive fire protection solutions developer) are assured of enhanced technical and service support benefits as part of the brand’s dynamic merger. Firetherm’s time-proven and trusted fire stopping solutions, which are used extensively across the built environment, are now being delivered in the UK under the Nullifire brand.

Clients will receive the exact same systems, but with the benefit of enhanced resources, including greater technical support from industry experts and improved service levels.

The rebrand comes as RPM International Inc, the speciality construction products developer, introduced a new identity for its regional construction division in Europe under the Construction Products Group (CPG) banner. Its portfolio of construction product brands includes illbruck, Flowcrete, Tremco, Vandex and Dryvit, as well as Nullifire. All were placed under the CPG in June.

The move brings high-performance building materials - including fire protection, sealing, bonding, insulation, flooring, waterproofing and roofing solutions –together under a single source for specifiers.

Firetherm’s sales director, Gary Pullinger, is heading up the new service offer under the Nullifire brand. He informed Fire Safety Matters: “This is an exciting milestone for us as we unify under Nullifire. Our clients, including architects and main contractors, can continue to benefit from our Best-in-Class products and trusted expertise. Now we can add additional value by tapping into the wide-ranging investment being made as a whole by CPG Europe.”

He added: “Features of this include a more streamlined service, access to a single source solution from the CPG’s portfolio of brands and greater environmental and sustainability incentives. One of the key drivers is investment in a new Distribution Centre in Leicester. This will bring improvements in stock availability and service and also enable us to focus on achieving logistical improvements, in turn leading to reduced vehicle movements nationwide.”

Further, Pullinger stated: “We’ve also looked at making the pricing process more streamlined to support clients when providing specifications. Even during these challenging times, we’ve been recruiting additional technical, sales and specification personnel to support our core markets.”

Enhanced functionality

Clients will start to see the changes over the coming months, with packaging, technical drawings and data sheets all carrying the Nullifire brand. Website developments will be taking place to offer enhanced functionality for users, while a digital and print campaign running under the hashtag #wevegotyourback is also being launched. This sets out the achievements of both brands and their shared vision throughout the merger, all centred around the key principle of protecting people and buildings from fire.

Pullinger commented: “Our clients will find that, under the rebrand, what was in place before remains in place. However, we’re now in prime position to deliver next generation service and support for our customers as they navigate complex challenges in the construction sector.”

He went on to state: “For more than 40 years, Nullifire has been a market leader in intumescent and fire stopping solutions and stands at the forefront of smart passive fire protection. We’re specialists with one focus that hasn’t changed and will not change – to protect people and buildings from fire. Passive fire protection is highly complex, but crucially important, especially as buildings become more sophisticated with increasingly intricate interior and exterior structures. We understand the need to have confidence in the fire protection installed in modern buildings. Our systems perform when they’re called upon and are dedicated towards simple and intuitive operation for our customers, providing the optimum solution for every project.”

Pullinger also explained: “We have a unique team of technical experts with years of experience to support customers during the specification and installation of our products, while our testing methods are rigorous with facilities that are second to none. In short, everything is focused on providing what our customers need at every stage of their project. It’s all about smart protection.”
