Merger completion sees Firetherm make move to Nullifire brand
17 February 2021
THE NEW Year marks a new start for Firetherm, the smart passive fire protection solutions developer, as the business moves under the Nullifire brand. For several months, Firetherm’s fire stopping solutions – which are used extensively across the built environments – have started to be delivered across the UK under the Nullifire name.

Now that Firetherm’s merger with Nullifire is complete, clients will continue to receive the exact same systems, but now with the added benefit of enhanced resources, including greater levels of technical support delivered by industry experts as well as improved service levels.
Solutions packaging, technical drawings and data sheets now all carry the Nullifire brand name, while a new website (to be found at https://www.nullifire.com/en_GB/home/) has also been created. The latter offers enhanced functionality for users.
Additional technical, sales and specification personnel have also been recruited to support core markets.
The rebrand follows RPM International Inc’s introduction of a new identity for its regional construction division in Europe under the Construction Products Group (CPG) banner. Its portfolio of construction product brands – including illbruck, Flowcrete, Tremco, Vandex and Dryvit as well as Nullifire – were all placed under the CPG in June last year, with the modern method of construction system Nudura joining the portfolio in January.
The move brings high-performance building materials – specifically fire protection, sealing, bonding, insulation, flooring, waterproofing and roofing solutions –together under a single source for specifiers.
Sales director Gary Pullinger is leading the service under the Nullifire brand. He told Fire Safety Matters: “For more than 40 years, Nullifire has been a market leader for intumescent and firestopping solutions and stands at the forefront of smart passive fire protection. The Firetherm merger is an exciting opportunity for us to extend our service nationwide under the CPG UK portfolio.”
Pullinger added: “Our key aim is to protect people and buildings from fire. Passive fire protection is a highly complex and crucially important discipline, especially so given that buildings are becoming more sophisticated with increasingly intricate interior and exterior structures.”
Further, Pullinger observed: “We understand the need for clients to have absolute confidence in the fire protection installed in modern buildings. Our systems perform when they’re called upon and provide the optimum solution for every project. We’re now even better placed to help our customers achieve smart protection.”
