Wendie Thomson appointed regional sales manager for Scotland and Ireland at Hyfire
02 July 2025
HYFIRE HAS welcomed Wendie Thomson as the wireless fire safety system developer’s new regional sales manager for Scotland and Ireland. Thomson is not new to the fire industry having worked for over 30 years in various roles including account management and sales.

All the while liaising with customers, manufacturers, consultants, project managers and engineers, Thomson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Hyfire. What’s more, Thomson also brings with her everything she’s learned from her previous role where she managed the Scotland, Northern England and Ireland regions.
Born in Southampton to Scottish parents, Thomson earned her HND in Commerce and Business Studies before beginning a career in local Government. While originally training in environmental health, she soon transitioned into roles that intersected with fire safety and risk management.
Over time, Thomson developed deep expertise in fire prevention, safety protocols and emergency planning, in turn becoming a respected professional in the industry.
Growing existing relationships
“As the regional sales manager for Scotland and Ireland,” noted Thomson, “I’m looking forward to growing existing relationships in order to enhance sales as well as expanding our partners’ sector coverage, being mindful of our existing partners’ capabilities and loyalty, as well as looking at new partners for the sectors and areas we’re missing in the portfolio.”
Coming from the service side of fire safety provision, Thomson also sees greater opportunities to present Hyfire’s products directly to end users, showcasing the full capabilities of wireless solutions and helping to dispel the misconception that wireless is only suitable for certain types of projects or sites.
Thomson continued: “I also feel there’s a real opportunity within construction and new builds. Working with contractors and consultants, I’ve seen the delays that arise when a site is further along than expected, but cable installation is still pending. Wireless offers a more efficient project management solution, reducing the need for large installation teams being on standby. That efficiency translates into real labour cost savings for our partners.”
Technical insight, sales experience
Thomson’s blend of technical insight, sales experience and hands-on service background positions her to support Hyfire’s continued growth across Scotland and Ireland.
