Leading security brands backing The Security Event 2019

INDUSTRY SUPPORT for The Security Event 2019 continues with more of the world's leading security brands throwing their weight behind the event, which has led to the organisers already announcing a date for a second instalment of the event at the NEC Birmingham.

Honeywell, one of the world’s most recognisable brands, recently confirmed its status as a founding partner. Honeywell General Manager Mick Goodfellow said: “We are delighted to be joining The Security Event as a founding partner. This event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our leading-edge security portfolio and in a location that allows us to enhance our relationships with our installer base.” 


Honeywell joins other leading global security brands Anixter, Comelit, Dahua, TDSi, Texecom, Tyco and Videcon as a founding partner. Following huge demand from the sector to be part of The Security Event, organisers Western Business Exhibitions (WBE) has now confirmed dates for a second edition on 28-30 April 2020 at the NEC Birmingham.  
NEC venue Sales Director Ian Taylor says he’s delighted to extend the venue’s partnership with WBE. He said: “It’s fantastic to see such support and enthusiasm from the security sector for The Security Event. We are delighted to extend our partnership with WBE and it shows the strength of interest in the Security Event that we’ve now confirmed the dates for the following year.”


The unique proposition of the event has now attracted over 25 leading security brands to confirm their presence. 60% of the floorspace has already been allocated. Event Director Tristan Norman explains: “The event continues to grow from strength to strength. It’s extremely exciting to launch something that is so universally welcomed by the security sector and I would like to once again thank all of our exhibitors and association partners for their support thus far.” 


The Security Event additionally benefits from being co-located alongside three other well-established industry leading events also run by WBE – The Fire Safety Event, The Health & Safety Event and The Facilities Event, which will also run on 9-11 April 2019 in adjoining halls at The NEC. As well as exclusive coverage in Fire & Security Matters Magazine, which is the industry’s largest and only ABC audited title in the fire and security sectors.  


WBE Director Tim Else added: “The Security Event was a natural progression of our existing business however even I have been staggered by the fantastic response from the industry. I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support in particular the NEC for their collaboration to ensure our new tenancy in 2020 is a huge success.”
