Security solutions supplier Mast Digital (UK) Ltd named as latest Dahua distributor

06 January 2021

FAST-GROWING family-run video and network equipment supplier Mast Digital (UK) Ltd has become a new distributor for Dahua Technology. Doncaster-based Mast Digital (UK) Ltd boasts a product portfolio encompassing CCTV, AV, networks and satellite-related technology.

“We’re delighted to announce Mast Digital (UK) Ltd as the latest highly valued distributor of Dahua products in the UK,” explained James Wang, overseas vice-president and UK and Ireland country manager. “As a forward-thinking business which prides itself on high quality customer service and a great choice of products, Mast Digital is set to boost the supply of Dahua Technology’s innovative video and security solutions in the region.”

Dahua Technology moved into the realms of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence plus the Internet of Things) on an early footing. This enables Internet of Things devices to feature Artificial Intelligence capabilities, thereby enabling the delivery of intelligent and connected video-based solutions capable of self-learning and analysing data.

In essence, this means that video can then be easily extended to other applications, such as fire detection and suppression, video and retail analytics and also facial recognition.

“We’re passionate about offering great customer service and support and delivering a tailored approach to customers’ needs,” stated Stuart Smedley, managing director of Mast Digital (UK) Ltd. “Our partnership with Dahua Technology means that we can further expand and develop our product offer with the latest technology and industry trends, enhancing our reputation for first-class service and competitive pricing.”

Mast Digital (UK) Ltd presides over a product portfolio that includes CCTV, AV, networks and satellite-related technology. In addition to its offices, trade counter and display and demonstration areas, the company also offers a comprehensive online sales operation.

Technology, applications, customer service

Luxury food and drink hampers, an online quiz and prizes galore were all part of a virtual gala evening for Dahua Technology’s Key Installation Partners, which took place just prior to Christmas.

Held online due to the pandemic and streamed from Dahua’s own Innovation Centre in Maidenhead, the event celebrated the very best in technology, applications and customer service, with almost 240 people participating.

Sponsored by Seagate, the event began with James Wang speaking on the theme of ‘Creating an AIoT Future Together’. He thanked partners, customers and colleagues for their efforts and achievements in 2020, which saw a hugely impressive 70% growth in revenues for Dahua UK and Ireland.

Other presentations followed from Simon Nash (who concentrated on AIoT, growth factors in the industry and the company’s value creation strategy) and Michael Lawrence. The latter focused on the Key Installation Partners Programme and the wide range of marketing activities supporting it. These include the launch of the Dahua Innovation Van engaging with partners across the UK and Ireland, as well as a new Innovation Centre in Leeds and the delivery of over 100 webinars attended by over 5,000 individuals.

Other product and solutions highlights for the year were the Temperature Monitoring and Access Control (TMAC) solution, the TiOC automated monitoring and surveillance solution and the Next Generation PTZ representing “a step change” in motion detection and tracking.

Further developments included the Dahua IP camera range being awarded Secure by Default status, a 50% increase in the number of staff on the books at Dahua UK and Ireland and raising almost £14,000 for NHS charities.

“The gala event provided the ideal opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Key Installation Partners and also reinforce their membership of the wider Dahua Technology family,” explained Michael Lawrence, marketing director for Dahua UK & Ireland. “It also gave us the chance to look ahead and concentrate attention on our exciting plans for 2021.”
