Partnership deals with Holta & Håland Safety and Technoswitch confirmed by Hyfire
19 February 2023
UK-BASED wireless fire technology specialist Hyfire has confirmed partnership agreements that will see its products sold in Norway and South Africa for the first time. The deals with Holta & Håland Safety and Technoswitch follow on from the successful launch of the Hyfire brand in Italy in 2021 and include supply, marketing and support provision for Hyfire’s Taurus range of wireless fire devices.

Since the range was launched in 2021, Hyfire believes that Taurus has taken wireless fire technology to “new heights” by “revolutionising” the performance of wireless devices and rendering them a genuine mainstream alternative to traditional wired systems for the first time.
Combining “unrivalled” performance with user-friendly survey, install, commissioning and maintenance software, Taurus comprises a full range of high-performance wireless detection, control and alarm devices. As a direct result of the partnership deals, these will now be made available to Norwegian and South African specifiers and installers.
Tom Crane, international director at Hyfire, commented: “Hyfire is now recognised as one of the leading global brands for wireless fire systems, in the main thanks to the provision of cutting-edge technology coupled with an unrivalled partner programme and technical support. We want to replicate our successful UK model in other countries by working with established local partners, which is why we’ve agreed to supply Holta & Håland Safety and Technoswitch with Taurus products. Backed up with commercial, technical and marketing support, the products will afford both businesses the resources they need to market the Hyfire brand in their home territories.”
Halvor Bergsaker, managing director of Holta & Håland Safety, responded: “We’ve been pushing the boundaries of fire technology in the Norwegian market since 1966 and, with the global reputation of Hyfire and awareness of wireless fire technology on the increase, it feels like there has never been a better time to launch the Taurus range into the Norwegian market.”
Bergsaker continued: “As is the case in many major markets, end clients in Norway are clamouring to replace or update outmoded systems, while system installers are under pressure to deliver. By using wireless fire devices, it’s possible to plan, install and commission new systems in a fraction of the time required for a traditional wired alternative. Also, there is less impact on the building’s fabric. We’re so excited to begin our journey with the Hyfire team.”
Hyfire was launched to market back in 2007, bringing some of the first commercial wireless detection and alarm devices fully certified to EN54 to the attention of system installers and end users.
Since then, the Hyfire brand has become “synonymous with quality, reliability and innovation” in the commercial fire sector. All devices are supplied with a five-year warranty and underpinned by the aforementioned dedicated partner programme to ensure the best survey, installation, commissioning and after-sales service in tandem with “exceptional” technical support.
