Gallagher wins multi-year appointment as insurance broker for Bryland Fire Protection
29 March 2021
INSURANCE BROKERAGE, risk management and consulting firm Gallagher has been appointed by fire safety solutions provider Bryland Fire Protection to support the business with its insurance and risk management requirements as the firm targets further growth.
Founded 50 years ago, Bryland Fire Protection provides fire protection, detection and suppression services to businesses in the UK and Europe. With its headquarters in Dudley in the West Midlands, as well as regional offices in Farnborough and Colne, Bryland Fire Protection designs, installs and maintains fire safety systems for businesses of all sizes and across a range of sectors.
Following a competitive tender process, Gallagher won the multi-year contract as a result of its in-depth understanding of Bryland Fire Protection’s risk management needs as it expands its office and client footprint. Gallagher’s strong insurer relationships and the strength of its in-house claims team were also key factors underpinning the decision.
Richard Grosvenor, sales director at Gallagher, commented: “For fire protection consultants, managing clients’ fire and security risks can carry risks of their own, from property damage through to personal injury during installations. Navigating these risks requires the support of a specialist insurance broker who can provide firms with tailored advice to ensure they have appropriate cover in place such that they can focus on running and growing their business.”
Grosvenor added: “Our expertise across many different sectors, as well as our regional insight, means that we have a good understanding of the risks and challenges affecting companies in the fire safety space and can offer them bespoke insurance and risk solutions designed to provide them with the peace of mind they need.”
He concluded: “We’re very pleased to be working with a firm which has built up an excellent reputation over many years for delivering high-quality fire protection and detection solutions, and we look forward to supporting Bryland Fire Protection as the business looks to extend its reach both here at home and across Europe.”
Graham Turner, managing director at Bryland Fire Protection, responded: “Having operated in the fire safety industry for over 50 years now, we understand only too well how vital it is for businesses to manage and prepare for unforeseen risks. By taking time to understand the risks we face as a business, designing tailored insurance cover to mitigate them and also being able to make savings on our overall insurance costs, Gallagher has instilled a great deal of confidence in us that we have suitable insurance in place for our business today and as we grow.”
