Total Security Services appoints Brendan Musgrove as new managing director

A seasoned managing director with a vast range of experience gained from across the sector, Musgrove has been presiding over facility management-based businesses (among them Rentokil Initial and Interserve) for the last 15 years. Musgrove has also held management positions in the logistics and leisure sectors and holds an MBA to match his operational experience.

Cordant Security, itself a part of the larger Cordant services contractor, is one of the ten largest security guarding companies in the UK. Further experience gained with that business will serve Musgrove well as he now joins the family-run Total Security Services.

A Security Industry Authority (SIA)-registered Approved Contractor for the provision of security guarding and Public Space Surveillance services, as well as being SafeContractor approved, Total Security Services currently employs over 6,000 SIA-licensed personnel. Importantly, the business has also been awarded the Gold Standard by the National Security Inspectorate for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety Management System).

In addition to security guarding and CCTV monitoring, Total Security Services also offers alarm response, key holding, mobile patrol, close protection, security and risk assessment and store detective services. The business generated a turnover of £104 million in 2019 and is ranked tenth in the Infologue.com Top 30 of UK Security Companies.
