Amthal adds Door and Hardware Federation membership to list of credentials
02 December 2020
AMTHAL FIRE & Security has become a full member of the Door and Hardware Federation (DHF), duly highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to Health and Safety across its automated gates product and service portfolio.
The DHF is a not-for-profit Trade Association for companies associated with locks and building hardware, doorsets, industrial doors and shutters and automated gates.
Regarded as a Centre of Excellence, DHF offers specifiers and end users of individual and commercial buildings a single source for technical expertise, information, knowledge and advice.
Commenting on the news, Jamie Allam (CEO at Amthal Fire & Security) stated: “DHF is undoubtedly the go-to association when it comes to influencing the future of technical security, helping organisations to understand and comply with the latest Health and Safety legislation relevant to our industry.”
Allam continued: “Our membership of the DHF aligns us with an organisation that represents the agreed, best and most effective way of delivering a product and service. As a business, we’re looking forward to receiving first-hand the latest developments on our industry, while also presenting our customers with a portfolio of automated gate products that achieves DHF requirements for safety and compliance.”
Raising industry standards
Amthal Fire & Security will now be able to represent its membership of DHF by using the latter’s logo on all printed and digital media, thereby demonstrating the company’s dedication to an organisation associated with quality, credibility and the raising of industry standards.
Nick Perkins, training and compliance officer at the DHF, informed Security Matters: “We provide the knowledge that members use to enable them to put a safe and compliant product on the market. We sit on various standards committees throughout the UK and Europe and are at the forefront of safety and compliance. Our aim is to advance standards to improve the quality and safety of products, services and systems. We welcome new DHF members on their journey to demonstrate commitment to Best Practice.”
Independently owned, Amthal Fire & Security is dedicated to satisfying end user needs for security safety and convenience, offering design, installation, maintenance and monitoring of advanced electronic fire and security solutions (including intruder and fire alarms, access control and CCTV solutions).
The business is accredited by the Security Systems and Alarm Inspection Board, the United Kingdom Accreditation Services and British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE).
