Amthal continues growth planning with appointment of Peter Lee
25 April 2021
AMTHAL FIRE & Security is continuing with its ambitious growth plan to service more commercial customers by way of dedicated appointments to the supply chain team alongside an active recruitment process for two sales account managers.
Peter Lee has been appointed to manage the ‘Purchasing Supply Chain’ in order to strengthen the company’s commercial division, in turn enabling a more efficient approach towards servicing new and existing customer requirements for fire safety and security solutions.
Further, Amthal Fire & Security is recruiting for two sales account managers alongside a number of engineer roles in commissioning, maintenance and installation. The business operates an active apprenticeship programme to encourage job-specific skills and create a more open business environment.
Commenting on the team’s aspirational growth plans, Jamie Allam (CEO of Amthal Fire & Security) said: “Undoubtedly, the last year has been challenging for front line members of staff as they’ve had to steer their way through the pandemic in a commitment to their role as key workers. Through it all, we’ve ensured the ongoing safety of our customers, both new and existing, supporting the need to evolve quickly and efficiently to meet the constantly evolving regulations for commercial premises.”
Continuing this theme, Allam stated: “We have only been able to do this with the commitment of our team. They’ve embraced our vision, mission and values to protect what’s precious. Such dedication has realised clear growth across our business. We’re now delighted to welcome Peter to the Amthal family, while at the same time we continue our recruitment process for account managers and engineers such that we continue to present a full-service fire and security solutions company.”
Fire Safety Bill
Amthal is proactively preparing customers for the imminent arrival of the Fire Safety Bill. Currently in its final stages prior to Royal Assent in Parliament, alongside the Building Safety Bill this legislation is touted as ‘the biggest change in building safety for a generation’ and places an enhanced onus on ‘Responsible Persons’, managing agents and block management companies.
Allam observed: “We’ve seen steady growth in opportunities with smart and mobile first security, especially so around the move towards integration and enabling entry to the Internet of Things world. Our recruitment process also recognises the significant growth opportunities in the fire protection market where we need to ensure that our entire team is ready to meet the new demands about to be placed on our customers.”
He concluded: “Given the Fire Safety Bill coming and the demands of the stringent new fire safety regulations, in addition to technical advances and product innovations, we have a Duty of Care to remain abreast of the latest thinking when it comes to design, installation, maintenance and monitoring services.”
