Fire Safety Matters Webinar: Enforcement Notices and Prohibition Notices
10 March 2025
ON 28 MARCH from 10.00 am until noon, Fire Safety Matters is running a further webinar with Warren Spencer, the managing director of Blackhurst Budd Solicitors and an expert on fire safety law, most notably so when it comes to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Across the two-hour live broadcast, which is being hosted by Mark Sennett (CEO of Western Business Media and the founder of Fire Safety Matters magazine), Warren will be providing an outline of the rules relating to the issuing of Enforcement Notices and Prohibition Notices (including the appeal process) under Article 35 – and a full discussion of Articles 30 and 31 – of the aforementioned Fire Safety Order.
There will be an exploration of the appeal process including the summons issued by the presiding court, the directions provided by the courts and the subsequent trial process. This will involve civil proceedings as opposed to criminal proceedings.
Further, Warren will outline the evidence required in the appeal, whether that be as an appellant or respondent, together with skeleton arguments made and a detailed consideration of expert evidence.
This seminar would be appropriate for both Fire and Rescue Service personnel and those individuals with any property/property management interests.
All attendees will receive a Continuing Professional Development certificate for attending.
*Attendance at this special legal webinar costs £99+VAT per registrant. Register online now via the StreamGO platform
