University of Liverpool to host NAHFO Annual Conference 2026
29 October 2025
THE NATIONAL Association of Healthcare Fire Officers (NAHFO) will run its 2026 Annual Conference and Exhibition on 8-10 June at the University of Liverpool under the theme ‘Connected. Protected. Prepared: Technology at the Fire Safety Frontier’.

Ian Powell (fire safety advisor for the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) has kindly agreed to serve as host for the day.
In order to make NAHFO’s 2026 Conference and Exhibition bigger, more inclusive and more impactful, the organisation is introducing several improvements.
By extending its reach, NAHFO aims to strengthen cross-sector collaboration, enabling exhibitors to connect with an even wider network of fire safety professionals who face similar challenges and are seeking innovative solutions.
All exhibitors will be in one central and high-profile space for maximum visibility and engagement. There’s also upgraded catering and networking experiences, in turn ensuring excellent hospitality throughout.
On top of all that, there’s a refreshed conference website to enhance delegate–exhibitor engagement.
NAHFO is signposting Continuing Professional Development-accredited learning opportunities underpinned by expert speaker sessions.
Further, there’s going to be two special evening dinners, one of them encompassing the prestigious NAHFO Awards Ceremony.
Accommodation will be available at the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village, itself a modern four-star hotel within walking distance of the venue.
