FireMate appoints Taylor Streets in business development manager role
20 June 2023
REMOTE FIRE alarm management and software specialist FireMate has announced the appointment of Taylor Streets in the role of business development manager. Streets, who brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge and an exceptional track record in sales, is charged with expanding the company's capabilities in the UK and Europe.

Born in Worksop, the 29-year-old lives in the nearby village of Carlton-in-Lindrick and started out as a health coach for the NHS and ToHealth. He then transitioned into the fire sector with the role of fire sales engineer at Hoyles Fire and Safety Ltd. In this role, Streets excelled in contract sales, fire risk assessments, equipment sales, training and servicing of fire extinguishers, duly becoming the company’s best-performing salesperson for the North of England in 2021 and 2022.
Commenting on his new appointment, Streets enthused: “I’m thrilled to join the dynamic team at FireMate. The company’s innovative approach and positive work culture align well with my own aspirations. I’m particularly excited about promoting the innovative Nimbus line, which offers remote monitoring, testing and management for fire systems from all key manufacturers.”
Streets’ key goals are to foster new relationships, manage current accounts and generate new business, in turn expanding the customer base for Nimbus.
Sales and negotiation skills
Mike Giuffrida, managing director at FireMate, is confident in Streets’ ability to drive the company forward. Giuffrida commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Taylor to our team. His expertise in the fire industry and exceptional sales and negotiation skills make him a strong asset for the business. We look forward to seeing the energy and passion he brings to this role and the positive impact it will have on our operations.”
FireMate’s Nimbus product line exists to fulfil a pressing – and, often, legally mandated – requirement for enhanced asset management, monitoring and reporting in the fire sector.
Developed by industry experts passionate about effective fire safety, the Nimbus remote fire alarm management solution represents a seismic change in the approach taken by many fire system installers and their clients, affording them greater oversight, awareness and reassurance than ever before.
