20 November 2023
APOLLO FIRE Detectors has announced the appointment of Rob Barcik as the company’s new managing director. Hailing from Canada, Barcik brings a wealth of experience to the role having been an integral member of the team at the Halma Group, Apollo’s parent company, for the past 18 years.
Indeed, Barcik’s journey within the Halma family began at Oseco, where he served as vice-president of operations for an impressive 11 years.
Demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, Barcik transitioned into the role of president at Oseco for a successful four-year tenure.
Across the last three years, Barcik held the esteemed position of president at Firetrace International, duly showcasing his dedication to – and expertise within – the fire detection and suppression industry.

A seasoned engineer at heart, Barcik’s engineering background, coupled with his extensive leadership experience, ideally positions him to lead Apollo Fire Detectors. His strategic vision and commitment to innovation align seamlessly with Apollo’s mission to provide cutting-edge fire detection solutions.
Commenting on his new role, Barcik informed Fire Safety Matters: “I’m thrilled to join Apollo Fire Detectors in the role of managing director. The company boasts a rich history of delivering first-class fire detection technology and I now look forward to contributing to its continued success.”
