Registration open for Fire Safety Matters Live one-day digital conference

WESTERN BUSINESS Media has announced the launch of the Protection and Asset Management Series of live one-day digital conferences which includes an entire day of presentations specifically dedicated to the readers of Fire Safety Matters and their specialist sphere of interest and influence.

Running on seven consecutive Wednesdays from 6 October, the online conferences will offer delegates the chance to network with each other, speakers and sponsors in real-time via live chat or simply by requesting a video call. Delegates will also be able to Direct Message conference sponsors when subsequently accessing the on-demand service.
Of course, all attendees will enjoy free access to the entire conference programme and receive Continuing Professional Development points as a result of doing so thanks to the ongoing special arrangement that Fire Safety Matters has forged with the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
Fire Safety Matters Live runs on Wednesday 3 November from 10.00 am. The day will be hosted and chaired by Mark Sennett (CEO at Western Business Media and the founder of Fire Safety Matters magazine) and begin with an exclusive presentation by Peter Baker (the new Chief Inspector of Buildings for the Building Safety Regulator currently being established under the umbrella of the Health and Safety Executive) who served as a guest on Episode 19 of the Fire Safety Matters Podcast.
Further sessions during the day will concentrate on a range of key subjects including integrated fire safety solutions, the significance of the competency culture in the fire safety sector, the protection of those facilities where rapid fire detection is critical, using digital logbooks to ensure fire safety compliance, mitigating fires involving hazardous materials, passive fire protection and career pathways for fire risk assessors.
Among the presenters are Amanda Hope (UK business development manager at Advanced), BAFE CEO Stephen Adams, Mike Sutton (business development manager for the healthcare sector at Apollo), Andy Speake (national technical manager for Aico), technical sales engineer Nigel Ward from FFE, Jason Hill (sales manager at Tio Fire Safety), Ian Moore (CEO at the Fire Industry Association), asecos UK and Ireland manager Mark Whiteley, Niall Rowan (regulatory and technical officer at the Association for Specialist Fire Protection) and Bob Docherty, president of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
On the day, Fire Safety Matters Live will conclude with closing remarks at 3.30 pm.
