Patol plans fire detection capabilities showcase at The Fire Safety Event
05 February 2024
EXHIBITING ON Stand E120 in Hall 5 at The Fire Safety Event 2024, which runs at the NEC in Birmingham from 30 April until 2 May, Patol will be taking the opportunity to demonstrate the company’s wide-ranging capabilities when it comes to fire detection systems development.
Available in digital and analogue options, the company’s Firesense linear heat detection cable (LHDC) is designed to provide early detection of fire and overheating where other forms of detection would not be viable.
The digital (non-resettable) cable, along with its associated functional units and junction boxes, is EN 54-28 approved and now UL approved with Patol’s Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LS0H).
In short, Patol’s LHDC technologies are LS0H, rendering them suitable for poorly ventilated applications, while also being safer for the environment.
Also on show at the NEC will be Patol’s Fibresense fibre optic option (available as thermoplastic tube or armoured tube), which is particularly suited to protecting critical infrastructure and hazardous environments, whether in a remote location or an inner city.
Visitors to The Fire Safety Event will be able to view detectors from the aspirating smoke detection range designed to provide immediate alerts relating to a fire at the earliest incipient stage.
Completing the line-up will be IR transit heat and flame sensors for conveyor applications, along with IR thermal cameras. The latter can be used to measure viewed surface temperatures in real-time.
