Huvo heralds “new chapter” in fire and security systems distribution
17 February 2025
DISCOUNT FIRE Supplies is rebranding to Huvo, reflecting the company’s evolution, expanded services and future vision. Founded in 2011 by brothers Tariq and Nadim El-Hoss, the company stands as one of the pioneers of online fire systems distribution in the UK, initially focusing on offering competitive pricing for essential fire safety products.

Huvo is a trusted partner for businesses and professionals in the fire and security industries, recognised for its “expertise” and “customer-centred” approach. Over the years, the company has broadened its product range and established strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors. The team’s extensive industry knowledge, paired with in-house engineers boasting hands-on installation experience, now forms the cornerstone of Huvo’s service.
“Our transformation from Discount Fire Supplies to Huvo reflects how far we’ve come,” affirmed Tariq El-Hoss. “While competitive pricing will always be a priority, we’ve evolved into a knowledge-driven partner. Huvo represents the ‘human voice’: a voice fluent in fire and security. In a world dominated by automation, we are proud to offer a personal and expert touch.”
Knowledge sharing
Knowledge sharing and “exceptional” customer service remain central to Huvo’s mission. The company’s free monthly workshops, hosted by industry experts, provide customers with insights into new products and developments, helping them to remain ahead in what’s now an ever-changing industry.
“We’ve outgrown our old name,” explained Nadim El-Hoss. “‘Discount’ and ‘Fire Supplies’ no longer accurately reflect who we are or what we do. Huvo aligns far better with our values of approachability, expertise and integrity. It also provides a solid platform for continued growth and product expansion.”
The rebrand takes effect on 19 February, with Huvo continuing to offer competitive pricing alongside expanded services and expertise.
“Huvo marks an exciting new era for us,” added Tariq El-Hoss. “It provides the flexibility to innovate and grow, ensuring that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
