ESMMA application streamlines fire panel and extinguisher maintenance
03 December 2021
ENGINEER SERVICE and Maintenance Mobile Apps (ESMMA) has designed, developed and built a new application specifically for the servicing of fire panels, fire extinguishers and fire doors. The company’s all-new packaged solution minimises risk and increases productivity by facilitating a managed, safe and secure environment for today’s businesses.
Servicing fire panels becomes a simple task with the ESMMA app. The detail underpinning all leading manufacturers’ panels is pre-loaded into the system, enabling a company’s engineers to consistently service all of its customers’ fire panels, meeting all British Standards and instantly being able to create compliance certificates for jobs that are completed.
The fire extinguisher app will track all client assets via the barcode scanner, keeping the purchasing business and its own customers informed of when a service is due and when the fire extinguishers will need retiring. Compliance information is very much part of the mix.
Exacting consistent standards when certifying fire doors is always a challenge. The ESMMA fire door app enables engineers to efficiently safety-check all the requirements that are needed in a simple and methodical way.
All client detail is centrally managed and updated in a database, including scheduling jobs and rescheduling next years’ service. Engineers have the jobs sent to their mobile app and it’s possible to keep track of how much work they have completed. All life safety-related equipment is barcoded and stored in the database. Scan the barcode and click ‘Service’ and the service is done.
The completed report includes a certificate for the client and a printable record for the logbook. All details are e-mailed automatically at the end of the service. A client can be informed of all the detail about any fire extinguisher they own, including service and replacement dates. Reports can be generated to advise on how many extinguishers are to be replaced in a set period for budgeting or purchasing needs.
Clients can be given a login to the database in order to view their own data, offering them a complete electronic logbook of their asset record. Engineers completing jobs can be tracked and even tracked down to the minute and location when they’ve serviced each extinguisher.
From start to finish, the entire solution instils confidence in the job, with the paperwork delivered upon job completion being professional and fully compliant with all relevant British Standards.
