Quelfire on verge of move to Wardle’s Cheshire Green Industrial Estate
14 October 2024
QUELFIRE – THE manufacturer and supplier of tested fire stopping solutions for service penetrations in buildings – has secured new premises at the Cheshire Green Industrial Estate in Wardle. Unit 4 on Spitfire Road features a modern layout with spacious work areas, meeting rooms and breakout facilities. ‘Team Orange’ will be making the move to the new location in late October.

The location is, in fact, only a 25-minute drive from the company’s existing Sandbach facility. The move accommodates the company’s increased space requirements and works as a future-proof initiative. Indeed, the chosen site is over four times bigger than the Sandbach base, providing more off-road parking and dedicated areas for the loading and unloading of heavy goods vehicles.
Currently, the business operates separate warehouses that store some of its products, but the move allows Quelfire to bring more of its stock under one roof and despatch orders from a single site. This increased capacity streamlines production and stocking processes, in turn making it easier to meet customer demands, while in parallel allowing for future expansion.
Significant difference
Cliff Williams, warehouse supervisor at Quelfire, said: “The new site is going to make a big difference for us in the warehouse. Having all of our ready-to-ship stock in one place will make everything quicker and easier. On top of that, the extra space for parking and loading will help keep things running smoothly and safely for everyone.”
With more relaxation rooms, planned breakout areas for the team to unwind and the introduction of different workspaces (including private soundproof pods and collaborative spaces), the new location caters for all requirements.
The new facility offers more space for online and in-person meetings, including a dedicated training area with more demo boards as a benchmark for compliant installations. These extra resources will support Quelfire in continuing to educate the industry and collaborating with like-minded construction professionals.
Improved sustainability measures
While Quelfire already operates good sustainability practices at its Sandbach office, the new location will further enhance such efforts thanks to more dedicated charging points for electric and hybrid vehicles, energy-saving lighting, electric forklifts and continued recycling measures. The new site facilitates a cleaner environment and reduces the business’ carbon footprint.
Quelfire’s managing director Keith Wells explained: “The move to Spitfire Road is an exciting milestone for Quelfire. It not only supports our continued growth, but also strengthens our commitment to protecting people and property with more space, better facilities and enhanced sustainability measures. The new premises offer a modern environment that enables us to serve our customers more efficiently and create a better workplace for our team.”
The full address of the new premises is Unit 4, Cheshire Green Industrial Estate, Wardle, Cheshire CW5 6HT.
