Building compliance information takes centre stage for Uptick webinar

21 September 2022

ASSET PROTECTION software developer Uptick has chosen to focus on the hugely important subject of building compliance information – and how to make such data transparent and visible in real-time – for the next Fire Safety Matters webinar when the event runs on Monday 26 September at 10.30 am.

For most fire protection-centric companies, the management of different tasks, members of staff, contractors and reports can be a somewhat difficult task due to the sheer complexity and volume of what’s involved.

All of those businesses have a Duty of Care to be observed on behalf of their clients, in turn meaning that all of the tasks transacted must be wholly reliable and accurate. If not, there’s the potential for misalignment and non-compliance.

There’s now a growing awareness of the potentially detrimental impact of not taking compliance matters seriously. This is coupled with a movement across the fire protection industry centred on driving increased visibility and transparency for building compliance in the hope of making all buildings safer.

The use of technology is paramount in terms of driving this compliance as the former allows for a ‘single source of truth’ for all stakeholders, from the owner to the auditor and on again to the presiding authorities.

Technology driving compliance

Driven by its stated mission of making all buildings safer by turning once paper-based work into an entirely digitised process, Webinar sponsor Uptick will use the hour-long session – which is certified for Continuing Professional Development through the Institute of Fire Safety Managers – to address topics ranging from the role of technology in driving compliance within the industry through to access to compliance data itself and also the overriding importance of third party accreditation,

Chaired by Mark Sennett (CEO at Western Business Media and the founder of Fire Safety Matters magazine), the webinar – running under the headline ‘Making Building Compliance Visible in Real-Time’ – features detailed input from Roi Abraham, the head of growth at Uptick.

On the day, Abraham plans to draw on a diverse spectrum of experience gained from having spent over a decade operating in the property and technology sectors. Indeed, Abraham was Uptick’s first employee back in 2014, heading sales operations and partnerships from inception. He has one goal in mind: to disrupt what he references as a “clunky and slow-moving” industry by delivering a positive impact for the outside world.
