Uptick announces strategic acquisition of FireMate
11 September 2023
UPTICK, THE global provider of field servicing software for fire protection maintenance companies, has announced its strategic acquisition of FireMate, a similarly focused pioneer in the Australian market. The acquisition aims to combine both businesses’ strengths and cement a base to accelerate Uptick’s global ambitions.

Founded in 2014, FireMate has applied its extensive fire industry knowledge to develop a desktop solution that transformed the fire protection industry by digitising field technicians’ day-to-day procedures and automating repetitive processes for service managers and business owners.
“We are extremely proud to join forces with FireMate and take on the world together,” said Aidan Lister, CEO of Uptick.
Rob Thomas, the founder of FireMate, responded: “FireMate has built a loyal following of top-tier fire protection companies. We now have an incredible opportunity to grow the entire industry and service our mission to make 100 million people safer where they live, work and play.”
Thomas added: “We are excited by the prospect of bringing FireMate’s industry and product knowledge together with Uptick’s cloud capabilities to enhance the experience for our combined customer base and take on the global market.”
