FIRE Conference 2025 focuses on future-proofing for built environment
07 June 2025
THE ANNUAL FIRE Conference returns on 13 November at the QEII Conference Centre in London’s Westminster, once again offering both in-person and online attendance options to ensure the broadest delegate engagement possible across the sector.

Organised and delivered by the Institution of Fire Engineers, the Fire Protection Association, the National Fire Chiefs Council and the Fire Sector Confederation, this one-day conference brings together key voices from the UK’s fire industry and those of international fire communities. Realised through a programme of plenary sessions, breakout discussions and expert panels, this year’s conference will concentrate on ensuring the built environment is fit for tomorrow.
FIRE Conference 2025 includes an early look at the UK’s new administration and what it means for fire safety policy and the construction of homes, planned changes to Approved Document B and the Building Safety Regulator’s updates plus rural and urban wildfire resilience, with an international panel exploring the latest global responses to this growing threat.
Delegates will also hear reflections on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Panel’s Phase 2 final report and a compelling Case Study on the Moss Landing battery storage facility fire that took place in California.
A panel discussion concentrating on the ‘Engineers of the Future’ will explore how we nurture and equip tomorrow’s fire safety professionals, while another session is set to review successful navigation of the planning gateways.
Joint statement
In a joint statement, the conference planning team has observed: “Collaboration throughout our industry is essential and particularly so in what is a time of accelerating change and complicated risk. The FIRE Conference is a unique opportunity for our community to gather, hear from experts and influencers and define the future of fire safety policy and practice. We’re thrilled to feature the many global perspectives represented in this year’s agenda.”
Breakout sessions will provide more focused discussion on topics including:
*the future of construction product testing
*qualification and competency requirements for fire risk assessors
*managing the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries
*resident safety: how are we measuring success?
*emerging risks and evolving British Standards
Delegates will benefit from dedicated Q&A time with speakers and over two hours’ worth of networking with peers, senior leaders and sector influencers alike.
Ticket booking process
Conference tickets are now available online, with physical and virtual attendance options starting from £100 plus VAT. All delegates will receive access to ‘On Demand’ session recordings post-event, along with Continuing Professional Development hours.
The organisers very much look forward to welcoming professionals from across the fire sector to what promises to be a timely and insightful gathering.
