FIA signposts launch of ITN Business’ programme ‘Fire Safety: Prioritising Prevention and Protection’

ITN BUSINESS has now launched the long-awaited programme entitled ‘Fire Safety: Prioritising Prevention and Protection’. Created in collaboration with the Fire Industry Association (FIA), the programme explores the crucial role of fire safety, education and preparedness in protecting communities from the devastating effects of fires.

‘Fire Safety: Prioritising Prevention and Protection’ highlights why fire safety education is essential in empowering individuals with the knowledge needed to prevent fires, reduce the risks and respond effectively during emergencies.
From practical training through to ensuring the proper use and disposal of electrical equipment and batteries, the 40-minute programme addresses critical topics that affect both homes and communities. It underscores the life-saving importance of smoke alarms and fire preparedness, providing the public with vital tools they can use to stay safe.
The programme also examines fire safety in community settings, focusing on regulations and emergency preparedness. It features editorial contributions from senior opinion leaders at the FIA (including CEO Ian Moore), the Institution of Fire Engineers and the Fire Protection Association, duly showcasing the thought leadership driving progress in the sector.
In addition, the programme highlights those organisations at the forefront of the fire industry and developing new technologies, products and solutions purpose-designed to enhance safety and support the sector. Reporter-led Case Studies filmed on location provide viewers with real-world examples of innovative fire safety practices in action.
