Cundall collaborates with ASIS
07 August 2019
CUNDALL SELECTS the ASIS International Certification program for its entire global security consultancy team to demonstrate knowledge, competence and professionalism at all levels.
A close collaboration between the ASIS UK Chapter 208 board members and the Cundall Security Consultancy team resulted in the creation of a strategic education plan linking key roles within the team to the appropriate ASIS International qualification to provide a baseline level of knowledge and expectation of the key skills needed by each member of the team, as well as providing a defined training and progression path within the organisation.
The range of qualifications available from ASIS was well suited to the structure of the Cundall Security Consultancy team, from the Associate Protection Professional (APP) qualification for technicians and consultants, through to the ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) qualification for senior consultants, and the ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) for principal consultants, associates and directors.
Darren Wood, director of Cundall Security Consultancy said, “By aligning our education program with ASIS International, we increase our credibility with existing and new clients and create a framework for the entire Cundall Security Consultancy Team to work towards a board-level globally recognised qualification, reinforcing Cundall’s goal to be the global security consultancy of choice, and the first consultancy worldwide to adopt the ASIS International Certification program at all levels throughoutthe entire team.”
“The ASIS International certification program was selected due to the rigour of the training process and ongoing maintenance of the qualification as a credible alternative qualification to Chartership, in addition to being globally recognised as the leading professional body in the security industry”.
Mike Hurst, CPP, Vice Chairman of ASIS UK Chapter said : “ASIS UK are delighted that Cundall, a major international, multi-disciplinary consultancy, have decided to align the professional development of their security consultants globally, with the ASIS International Certifications, APP PCI PSP and CPP: they are already all ASIS Members. We are especially pleased that Cundall have identifiedCPP as a ‘Chartered’ level certification.”
As the leading global security membership organisation, ASIS and its certifications are uniquely placed to help security professionals validate their security management expertise, elevate their stature in the profession and allow them to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. ASIS certificants earn an average of 20% higher salaries than those without an ASIS certification (per ASIS Certification Survey – April 2019).
