All Fire rolls out Tio’s new Digital Fire Logbook in Ireland
06 December 2021
COUNTY DOWN-based fire risk assessment and safety consultancy All Fire has become the first business in Ireland to roll out Tio Fire Safety’s Digital Fire Logbook. The company’s founder Marc Eadie has been quick to recognise the benefits of Tio’s cloud-based digital logbook solution – which conforms to BS 5839-1 – for his business and its clients.

Eadie is now including the Digital Fire Logbook as an integral part of All Fire’s service offer for new clients in sectors including manufacturing, education and childcare. All Fire’s services include everything from fire system maintenance through to extinguisher testing and fire warden training, in addition to fire risk assessments, and Eadie views the Digital Fire Logbook as a vital tool and, indeed, “a vast improvement” on traditional paper logbooks, which can often be mislaid or otherwise left incomplete.
“I’ve been really impressed with this product, which answers a lot of questions and solves the fundamental issues involved with the old paper-based logbooks,” explained Eadie, who founded All Fire back in 2015. “It’s not only simpler to update and access than the paper variant, but also features a compliance task manager for All Fire and our clients. The log book creates an audit trail that cannot be lost, damaged, ignored or incorrectly completed. The digital document storage arrangement replaces document boxes and ensures every detail can be accessed very quickly.”
In conversation with Fire Safety Matters, Eadie continued: “We’ve already installed 40 Digital Fire Logbooks, including three for a single manufacturing site with multiple buildings. I’m keen to roll out this solution to at least another 100 customers over the coming months.”
According to Eadie, the pricing set by Tio Fire Safety is “very competitive” and notably so when considering the advantages it offers. “The clients like the peace of mind afforded by the Digital Fire Logbook, while it can also be used by other operatives, such as emergency lighting or security professionals, to log testing and maintenance.”
Staff training
One chain of restaurants, which uses All Fire to oversee its 20 sites in Northern Ireland, is using the Tio Digital Fire Logbook to oversee staff training and ensure that mandated fire checks are carried out on a weekly and monthly basis.
The Digital Fire Logbook is priced and designed to replace a range of paper logbooks. It’s pre-configured to bring together a huge number of fire, safety and security topics in one place. The solution is quick to set up and as easy to use as paper, solves a multitude of issues and radically improves safety, relationships and compliance for all parties, including the building occupier, the service provider, the risk assessor, the installer, commissioning engineers and Emergency Services personnel.
“All Fire is just one of many clients reaping clear benefits from our new Digital Fire Logbook, which represents a step-change for this vital component in any fire safety regime,” explained Jason Hill, sales manager for Tio Fire Safety. “We’re replacing paper logbooks, which had not really changed for decades, with a dynamic cloud-based resource that can be accessed from any web-connected device. The Digital Fire Logbook helps to ensure 100% compliance and safeguards the integrity of information relating to any fire incident.”
The Digital Fire Logbook includes a compliance task manager that automatically schedules and tracks tasks for service providers, building occupiers and risk assessors, a customisable guidance module that helps members of staff to complete jobs, linked asset registers and maintenance, variances, a false alarm and activation tracker, custom tasks creator and also a fire visitor logbook.
Performance and compliance dashboard
All end users are privy to a performance and compliance dashboard, permitting oversight and management from a single site right through to portfolios encompassing many properties. All aspects of fire safety are covered by the Tio Digital Fire Logbook. Multiple logbooks are not required.
