asecos teams up with Fire Safety Matters to run webinar on safe storage of compressed gas cylinders
25 April 2021
ON TUESDAY 22 June at 10.30 am-11.30 am, Fire Safety Matters will be running another instalment of its ever-popular webinar series, this time in conjunction with asecos. Chaired by the magazine’s Editor Brian Sims and featuring a detailed presentation from Les Day (UK regional sales manager at asecos), the event runs under the banner ‘Hazmat Guide – Gases’.
Today, compressed gases are being used in many industrial and research processes that would not be possible to transact unless those compressed gases were involved. However, the latter present many different hazards requiring specific safety protocols for both their safe handling and use.
Safety is a high priority when storing and providing such gases and must be subject to a strict risk assessment. For many years, the centralised storage of gases was the only available solution. However, as high purity and specialised gases have become more commonly used and processes are changing rapidly, the demand for decentralised solutions when it comes to storage and delivery has increased. Flexibility of storage without compromising safety is the key.
asecos manufactures safety cabinets in accordance with BS EN 14470 Part 1 and Part 2. The company has also compiled a hazardous substances brochure that runs to over 120 pages and contains a wealth of specialist information and expert knowledge on the subject of compressed gas safety and storage. Send an e-mail to info@asecos.com and claim your free copy.
