Siderise publishes first annual Sustainability Report
07 October 2024
SIDERISE, THE global manufacturer of passive fire protection and acoustic solutions, has issued its first annual Sustainability Report. In addition to sharing the company’s achievements within its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, the 80-page document outlines Siderise’s bold ambitions for continued growth with a clear focus on both safety and sustainability.

The report looks in detail at each of the company’s four ESG strategy pillars: Planet, People, Product and Policy. As the company’s first public Sustainability Report, the document focuses on clear benchmarks in these crucial areas, identifying short and medium-term priorities that ensure business operations and ambitions align with recognised Sustainable Development Goals.
Key highlights include the launch of a Lean Six Sigma project to reduce manufacturing waste, achieving the company’s first Environmental Product Declaration for Siderise’s best-selling RH Horizontal ‘Open State’ Cavity Barrier and opening the business’ new £1 million Innovation Centre at its headquarters in Maesteg, South Wales.
Further, the report outlines how the company has begun to tackle its Scope 1 and 2 emissions to achieve its aim of being ‘Net Zero’ by 2030.
Safeguarding the environment
Adam Turk, CEO of Siderise, explained the significance of this milestone. “At Siderise,” explained Turk, “we’re driven by a bold mission: to go beyond in contributing to safer buildings. In addition to creating high-quality products upon which the market can rely, a key part of this is protecting the environment and the communities around us.”
Turk continued: “This Sustainability Report 2024 not only stands as testament to the hard work of our ESG manager Sera Turkoglu and the teams across the globe over the last 12 months, but also to the legacy within Siderise of always striving for ‘integrity in all that we do’. I’m thrilled to share our achievements with our employees, customers and the wider industry and look forward to the work that will make us a truly sustainable business.”
Ongoing journey
Kara Bennett, interim ESG manager at Siderise, stated: “Sustainable business practice is an ongoing journey. This report, with its clear benchmarking, targets and metrics, marks the beginning of our work here. From volunteering staff hours through to supporting our communities and making sure that our internal processes are third party certified, we are already working hard to meet the ambitious targets we’ve set for ourselves and to ensure that Siderise offers the best experience possible for all stakeholders.”
