Passive fire protection specialist Siderise expands into Asia Pacific region
04 March 2021
SIDERISE HAS announced the official opening of the company’s new Asia Pacific office. This marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s continued growth and demonstrates its ongoing commitment to the global discussions around passive fire safety.

Siderise boasts over 45 years’ experience in passive fire and acoustic insulation systems which provide high-performance solutions creating protected building envelopes. Serving 11 key countries in the region, the new Singapore-based office has been established to ensure the company can work more effectively with its customers in these developing and diverse markets, in turn helping them to create safer buildings worldwide.
The office will be managed by the business development director Arjen Flierman. With over 30 years of experience of working with some of the biggest players in the facade industry across the Asia Pacific region, Flierman brings a wealth of understanding about the challenges faced in these markets and a shared commitment to providing tested and third party certified passive fire solutions. Flierman’s passion for the industry and depth of knowledge render him a true asset to the business.
Underpinned by expert technical capabilities and insight to understand what’s required for constructing safer building exteriors, Siderise works with all stakeholders to ensure that projects are designed and built with integrity.
Speaking on the opportunities now ahead, Flierman informed Fire Safety Matters: “Just as every project has its own specific set of requirements, so does every country. By opening a new office in Singapore, Siderise is demonstrating that it has not only invested in making sure its customers across the Asia Pacific region have everything they need to create safe buildings, but also helps to ensure that fire safety is top of the agenda across the world.”
In conclusion, Flierman stated: “We’ve already started collaborating with a number of organisations, distributers and partners in the various countries. I’m looking forward to driving this next chapter in the Siderise story.”
The territories covered by the new office include Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
