SSAIB supports fire sector at The Fire Safety Event 2026
20 March 2026
THE SECURITY Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) is proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s leading certification bodies for the fire safety industry, supporting companies in demonstrating competence, compliance and professionalism across a wide range of life safety disciplines.

The organisation is a Show Partner for The Fire Safety Event 2026, which runs from 28-30 April at the NEC in Birmingham, further demonstrating its commitment to he fire sector and promoting the highest standards of safety and certification across the industry.
On Stand L10 in Hall 4, visitors can engage directly with the SSAIB’s experienced team members and learn more about the benefits of third party certification.
As one of the industry’s most important shows, The Fire Safety Event brings together professionals from across the sector to share knowledge, explore innovations and remain updated with evolving regulations and Best Practice.
BAFE Schemes
The SSAIB welcomes practitioners with an interest in BAFE Schemes to speak with the team about ‘all things certification’. Whether you’re new to certification, looking to achieve your first approval or aiming to expand on your existing scope, the SSAIB can support you every step of the way.
The team will be available throughout the three days to discuss a range of key BAFE Schemes, including SP101 (Portable Fire Extinguishers), SP203-1 (Fire Detection and Alarm Systems), SP203-4 (Emergency Lighting Systems), SP205 (Life Safety Fire Risk Assessments) and SP207 (Evacuation Alert Systems).
Achieving SSAIB certification to these BAFE Schemes demonstrates a commitment to quality, enhances reputations and assists in meeting the expectations of clients, insurers and regulatory bodies alike.
