Patol goes live with revamped company website to herald start of New Year
18 January 2021
PATOL, THE UK manufacturer of industrial fire alarm and heat detection products, has begun the New Year with the launch of a completely revamped website. The site now offers a clean new look and realises a more user-friendly platform.

The business is rightly proud of its heritage, with more than 50 years of supplying fire detection solutions to projects throughout the world under its belf. This is highlighted on the Home Page of the new website with examples of the wide range of industries in which the company operates, from car parks and tunnels through to power generation, warehouses and waste management.
Visitors to the site who are interested in the products relating to specific markets can drill down directly via a single click, while those practitioners wanting to know more about the complete range of Patol products can also easily access the information they need.
The Home Page features Patol’s three most popular solutions: the ASD 535 aspirating smoke detector which can monitor an area of up to 5,760 m2, the digital linear heat detection cable which provides cost-effective early detection of fire conditions and overheating and the 5000 Series infrared transit (conveyor) heat and flame sensors.
Iain Cumner, Patol’s sales director, informed Fire Safety Matters: “Much information was made available on the previous website, but it wasn’t always easy to find. Ease of navigation was a fundamental requirement in the brief for this revamp and that has certainly been delivered with the new platform. This is illustrated by the simple drop-down menu on the Home Page through which most of the information can be reached in just a couple of clicks.”
He continued: “We’ve retained core features of the previous website that had proven popular with our customers, including access to our Technical Library, but it’s now more readily accessible. By providing just some very basic information, visitors can download data sheets on our full range of solutions.”
Simple forms are provided for those who want to make enquiries – either through the UK headquarters or via the Patol office in India, while details of Patol’s numerous accreditations are also featured.
Cumner concluded: “We recognise the ever-increasing role of websites as the first port of call for fire safety professionals seeking information. That, of course, needs to be backed by market knowledge and technical expertise from the people that we employ so we continue to invest in both areas. We’ve retained SEO management of the site to help ensure that we remain in front of existing and potential customers and always highlight our wide range of solutions designed to respond to fire detection in many varied applications.”
