Fire stopping products-focused selection tool devised by FSi Promat
25 April 2025
AN ONLINE selection tool designed to make it both easier and quicker for installers to access information on the company’s fire stopping products (and assist them in identifying the best systems to use) has been launched by FSi Promat.

The fire stopping specialist’s Quick Selector tool realises fast access to technical details to support accurate and compliant installation. The searchable database contains all of the details installers need, including test standards, performance details and supporting third party documentation for particular applications and products in order to ensure correct use when reinstating compartmentation, which is essential for effective passive fire protection in buildings.
With live links embedded into the documentation, Quick Selector provides an intuitive solution when searching for information on the scope of a product, with installers able to search different products, standard details and applications for use in flexible, rigid and load-bearing walls.
Each technical detail includes a series of illustrations and descriptions of correct installations. All other information – including related TDS, SDS and DOP – is readily available online.
Tested solutions
Emma Taylor, marketing manager at FSi Promat, commented: “Having easy access to tested solutions, and being able to quickly search for them, will support installers in ensuring that fire stopping is being used in the correct way and has certification that supports system use in a wide range of scenarios.”
Taylor continued: “While there are countless scenarios in which fire stopping may be required, the online tool provides comprehensive access to data and will meet around 90% of project demands, while FSi Promat will be able to offer support for projects that fall outside of that scope.”
In conclusion, Taylor noted: “We’re keen to support installers wherever we can. We firmly believe this online tool will be an asset to installers looking for up-to-date and reliable data to ensure installations are in line with the tested solution. We’re also supporting the need for ease of access to information in line with the traceability required to support the golden thread of information.”
