Jeff Lee appointed managing director of Hanwha Techwin Europe
02 December 2020
HANWHA TECHWIN Europe – the provider of total security solutions encompassing network and analogue cameras, recording systems, video management software and compression technology – has announced the appointment of Jeff (Chae Won) Lee as its new managing director.
Having worked for the Hanwha Group for over 21 years now, most recently in the role of Hanwha Techwin Europe’s sales director, Lee boasts an “exceptional” track record of delivering on strategic objectives, harbouring a wealth of knowledge and experience of growing businesses.
A Master of Business Administration, Lee takes over the managing director’s chair from Bob Hwang, who’s returning to Korea to take up another senior management position.
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the highly professional, knowledgeable and talented Hanwha Techwin Europe team,” enthused Lee. “They all share a passion for backing up our formidable line-up of video surveillance solutions with the highest possible levels of pre- and post-sales support.”
He continued: “Building partnerships and earning the trust of system integrators and distributors has always been fundamental to how Hanwha Techwin Europe operates. To this end, I firmly believe that our company’s ongoing success can be secured by ensuring that we always operate with integrity and that, in addition to offering groundbreaking quality products and solutions, we excel in everything that we do.”
Focusing on the key areas of continual improvement, constant innovation and market leadership, Lee stated: “I’m confident that, with the valued support of our business and technology partners throughout Europe, we will achieve great success during 2021. Models in our existing and comprehensive range of Wisenet products and solutions provide so many opportunities to meet and even exceed end user expectations. We will also be harnessing the very latest advances in technology, such as Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence, to develop exciting new video surveillance solutions which will enable our business partners to further grow their share of the video surveillance market.”
Hanwha Techwin is a subsidiary of the Hanwha Corporation, itself one of the largest business conglomerates based in South Korea. Hanwha Techwin has consolidated its position in the security solutions sector by building self-developed SoC chipsets alongside the development of optical, manufacturing and image-processing technology.
