Intersec 2020 the best yet for STI
13 March 2020
With the conclusion of the 22nd edition of Intersec in Dubai in January, STI have thanked those who visited their stand at the year’s edition, helping to make it their busiest and best show to date.

After participating in a record-breaking year at the world’s leading security, safety, and fire protection show in 2019, STI returned to the Dubai World Trade Centre again in 2020 and were rewarded with another huge footfall of 33,872 trade professionals.
Enjoying valuable networking opportunities with their customers in the Middle East, and around the world, STI showcased their extensive range of UL listed products to new and prospective customers.
The collection of UL products on display proved popular with customers in the region – in particular, recent addition, the Global ReSet.
The UL listed call point eliminates the confusion caused by the use of manual call points and pull stations in close proximity – a common occurrence in the Middle East – by offering a generic look regardless of which standard the building adheres to.
A globally recognised appearance provides clarity for those who are not familiar with fire alarm systems to which apparatus they need to operate to raise an alarm in an emergency.
STI vice president of sales, Michael Mikaelian, said: “Showcasing at the Intersec show in Dubai is our new line of Global ReSets, a latching button with five different colour options and is based on the European call point.
“It works on both American and European mounting boxes and has many applications, from fire to access control, it is UL listed, indoor and outdoor rated, and we offer an integral cover with a built-in sounder.”
Another popular product on stand 4-A24 was a new range of fibreglass and polycarbonate enclosures. The EnviroArmour series can protect a range of devices such as remote annunciators, fire alarm control panels, or other important electronic products that are at risk of damage from direct impacts or ingress.
Michael said: “We offer our fibreglass and polycarbonate enclosures in opaque or with a clear viewable window, multiple sizes are available, it’s an excellent product for harsh environments.”
STI will return to Dubai again next year with Intersec set to celebrate a special edition with new concepts, new features and a new layout.
