Illumino Ignis triumphs in prestigious Distributor of the Year Award

Founded back in 2008, Illumino Ignis was shortlisted in the Fire and Security Matters Awards – organised once again by Western Business Media and its publications Fire Safety Matters and Security Matters – for providing exceptional value to its customers over the past two years.

In 2022, the company launched a free app for engineers. It’s a regularly updated ‘one-stop shop’ for helpful information including wiring diagrams for all Illumino Ignis products, engineer panel guides, resistor calculators and also details on BS 5839. Due to its popularity, the company made several enhancements and branded it the Engineers App in 2023. The app has seen hundreds of downloads post-launch.

Additionally, Illumino Ignis has been recognised for developing its own range of products. Spotting a gap in the market in 2018, Illumino Ignis has since been renowned for its valuable engineer-focused kits. These kits are made from the different sets of keys, resistors and fuses that a fire alarm engineer typically needs.

For its part, ‘Illumino Essentials’ is a range of products designed to solve real on-site problems and includes ‘The Engineers Workstation’, which has been featured by Fire Safety Matters.

These products have been said to have reached hundreds of new fire alarm engineer customers and rapidly increased sales with existing customers. A new e-commerce website facilitates easy order placement and next day delivery.

The company was also recognised for the additional support it affords to electrical contractors. Customers have been benefiting from free training on the design of fire systems. Four branches featuring dedicated training rooms facilitate customised customer training days hosted by Illumino Ignis’ technical manager Graham Cardwell.
