Italy, India and Middle East teams strengthened by Hochiki

Across the past 12 months, the team members at Hochiki Italia have worked hard to ensure customers across Italy continue to receive the best possible service when it comes to fire detection solutions. Part of the business’ commitment to improving customer experience is to invest in the in-house team of experienced experts. That being so, Alessandro Marcon’s appointment is a positive step forward as the team continues to deliver excellent customer service.

Marcon (pictured, above left) brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, having worked in the security and fire safety sectors for upwards of 30 years. His career has spanned roles within technical teams, life safety manufacturing, operations and business planning and has included keen involvement with systems partners and wholesale markets, both nationally and on the international stage.

In his new role with Hochiki Italia, Marcon will be focused on leading the sales teams in order to build stronger relationships with existing customers and create opportunities for new ones. He will also assess how Hochiki Italia can generate product specifications into key strategic market sectors, support the delivery of new products into the life safety market and feed key information back to the business on areas including customer insight.

Speaking about his new appointment, Marcon informed Fire Safety Matters: “I’m excited to work with Hochiki, which is a well-established and trusted brand boasting over 100 years of history and experience in the fire industry. I look forward to meeting our customers, understanding their needs and working with our teams to deliver brilliant customers experiences.”

Driving demand for fire safety

As stated, Hemanth Kumar (pictured, above right) has been appointed to the role of general manager for Hochiki’s operations in India and the Middle East. Kumar is a welcome addition to the company, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained from working as a fire protection professional across multiple Middle East nations as well as in India.

Kumar began his career in 1992 by working on life safety projects in refineries and petrochemicals across India. Subsequently moving to Saudi Arabia in 1995, Kumar worked on multiple fire protection projects until the end of 2002 before moving to the United Arab Emirates at the beginning of 2003. At this point, he worked for different fire protection solution providers in commercial and industrial sectors such as oil and gas, the petrochemical sector and the utilities, all the while building strong partnerships with distributors, contractors, consultants and end users alike.

Fully understanding the enhanced demand from Government and the business community in both regions to improve fire safety, Kumar is fully aware of codes and standards across multiple sectors and is looking forward to helping Hochiki’s customers improve their fire detection strategies.

Sales and marketing director Nathan Hudson added: “Hemanth will be taking on the dual leadership and management of the Hochiki teams based in the Middle East and India. He comes to us with a wealth of industry experience in both regions, most recently gained by working as a senior manager for Dafoos.”

Following on from an induction in the UK, Kumar will be dividing his time between the Dubai and New Delhi offices in order to manage both teams and meet with customers.
