Hochiki Europe donates fire detection devices to support FIA’s Northwich facility
07 October 2024
FIRE DETECTION solutions developer Hochiki Europe has signposted a significant donation of systems for the Fire Industry Association’s new training facility in Northwich. The company has provided a range of cutting-edge fire detection equipment for the facility, where students can gain hands-on experience with real-world fire system installations.

Hochiki Europe’s donation to the facility includes a variety of products, among them addressable surface-mounted manual Call Points, isolators, bases, programmable heat sensors, optical smoke sensors and multi-sensors.
Recommended by numerous Fire and Rescue Services across the UK, these devices are purpose-designed to help reduce false alarms and ensure effective fire protection.
Additionally, the donation includes visual alarm devices or VADs, which are essential for aiding the evacuation of vulnerable people in various settings such as schools, hospitals and care homes.
Training the next generation
“We are thrilled to support the Fire Industry Association in its mission aimed at training the next generation of fire safety system engineers,” enthused Shinsuke Kubo, managing director of Hochiki Europe. “By providing our latest fire detection devices, we can help to ensure that these professionals have the skills and knowledge they need to safeguard lives and property in times ahead.”
The Fire Industry Association’s new Northwich facility, which was officially opened on 26 September, offers a convenient location for individuals based in the North of England, providing easier access for businesses and student engineers alike who are based in the region and looking to the Fire Industry Association for industry-recognised courses.
