Hochiki Europe promotes Shinsuke Kubo to managing director
04 July 2023
HOCHIKI EUROPE’S commercial director Shinsuke Kubo stepped into the role of managing director on Monday 3 July, with outgoing managing director Graham Lowe remaining in the business on a part-time basis to support Kubo during his first 12 months in the role.
Kubo has been part of Hochiki’s global operation for close on three decades, having moved from Japan to the US and the Middle East before joining the UK team a year ago. He takes over from Lowe, who has stood at the helm of the European operation for the last six years and taken the organisation to the forefront of Hochiki’s global offer, overseeing sustained growth across the European territories during his tenure.
Going forward, Kubo will call upon his passion for customer experience – along with his extensive knowledge of both the Hochiki product range and the fire industry – to continue this trajectory and build on the strong legacy he inherits.
Commenting on his new role, Kubo informed Fire Safety Matters: “I’ve enjoyed a fantastic career with Hochiki for the last 29 years – in Japan for 17 years, the US for seven years, Dubai for four years and the UK for the last 12 months – and have gained great experience of the industry and knowledge of our customers across the globe.”
Kubo continued: “I’ve learned a great deal about UK and European markets during the last year and have grown to understand how this region differs from the US, the Middle East and the Indian markets. I think it’s time to bring all of this knowledge together in my new role and continue to grow the business here.”
Kubo’s breadth of experience and the firm foundations in place on which to build upon will undoubtedly stand him in good stead.
